The older, supposedly slower macbook has a Solid State Hard drive which goes to show that the best upgrade you can buy for any aging computer is a decent hard drive.

My first PlayBook App
TravelBook is my first venture into the BlackBerry App World. Built for the upcoming PlayBook, it’s a series of maps and status updates covering the world’s largest subway systems. The New York Subway and London Tube will be first and available on the 19th of April when the PlayBook officially launches.

Pastures new and old
I’m looking forward to going back to my old company Seven to do some R&D. I’ll be working on bringing some of their magazine titles onto the upcoming iPad. Despite all the negative hype, this device and the other tablets that’ll follow will have a big impact on the publishing industry.

Recently, I did some work for the UN-Volunteers in the Philippines and it was for a great cause. It’s an online petition collecting signatures for the stand up against poverty campaign. Part of a UN initiative to eradicate world poverty by 2015. Take a look.
